Many may remember this South Western school was first known as Paul C. Hayes Tech. But did you know another Ohio county school district used it as a model when planning their own technical high school? The other school was Pike County Technical School.

Ox Tail Soup
The Presbyterian Church once held an annual ox roast featuring ox tail soup as part of a Halloween Jubilee. The community event, held on East Park Street, was sponsored, in part, to curb teen vandalism. Attendees enjoyed a band concert and a square dance. Part of the proceeds in 1949 went to the church building fund.
