Expanded Beulah Park Article
We have posted a revised and extensive article on the history of Beulah Park, starting with a community area created by a well-known name in Grove City, repurposed to a horse racing track for many decades—and now a community park again. Police Dogs
The Columbus Dispatch Sunday Magazine introduced Grove City’s two police dogs in 1963. Pictured is Glenn Stoll with his German Sheperd, Rusty. Lowell (Gene) Downey also had a trained dog named Prince. The dogs were mostly used in burglary investigations. The program was introduced by Police Chief E. L. Evans and were trained by the Air Force at Lockbourne AFB (Rickenbacker Port Authority).

Agnes A. Eyerman and Sara Swaney
Agnes A. Eyerman, a high school teacher, was the first advisor for the newly created National Honor Society at Grove City High School in 1958. Sara Swaney, in 1909, is credited with introducing a music program in Grove City’s early schools around 1909.
